1. 실제로 그렇지 않은데도 어떤 행동이나 상태를 거짓으로 꾸밈을 나타내는 표현.

1. -N CHEOKADA: An expression used to indicate that one is pretending to do something or to be something, which is not true.

나는 태연한 척하며 웃었지만 마음속으로는 아주 불안했다.
I pretended to be calm and laughed, but in my heart i was very anxious.
아이가 놀아 달라고 졸랐지만 아빠는 피곤해서 잠든 척했다.
The kid begged me to play, but dad pretended to be asleep because he was tired.
민준이는 자기의 실수라는 게 드러날까 봐 자기 짓이 아닌 척했다.
Min-joon pretended not to do it because he was afraid his mistake would be revealed.

Did you get some sleep on the way from the train?
