1. (예사 낮춤으로) 말하는 사람이 이미 알고 있는 것을 객관화하여 듣는 사람에게 일러 줌을 나타내는 종결 어미.

1. -DANE: (formal, moderately addressee-lowering) A sentence-final ending used when the speaker says something that he/she already knows in an objective manner and informs the listener of it.

🗣️ Usage Example:

여기는 조용한 방이 없다네.
There's no quiet room here.
친구를 못 만나 본 지가 삼 년쯤 되니 문득 보고 싶어졌다네.
It's been about three years since i've seen a friend, and i miss him.
자네가 여러 방면에 뛰어나다는 말은 꽤 오래전부터 들었다네.
