1. 현재 그렇지 않음을 표현하기 위해 과거 상황과 반대되는 가정을 할 때 쓰는 표현.

당신이었더라면 어떻게 하셨겠어요?
What would you do if it were you?
조금만 늦었더라면 비행기를 놓칠 뻔했다.
Had i been a little late, i would have missed my flight.
컴퓨터가 없었더라면 세계는 어떻게 됐을까?
What would have happened to the world without computers?
쓰레기통에서 난 불이 벽에 옮겨붙었더라면 큰 화재가 났을 것이다.
If the fire from the trash can had been carried to the wall, it would have been a big fire.
♔ 이제 좀 괜찮아요?
Are you feeling better now?
♕ 네. 당신마저 그 음식을 먹었더라면 큰일이 날 뻔했어요.
Yeah. if you had eaten that food, you would have been in big trouble.
