4. BEING OUTSIDE; BEING OUTDOORS: A space not enclosed by something.

Synonym 노천(露天): 사방이 뚫린 바깥이나 길.
Synonym 바깥: 밖이 되는 곳., 사방과 하늘을 가리지 않은 건물의 바깥.
Synonym 한데: 사방과 위아래를 덮거나 가리지 않은 곳.

5. 앞의 내용이 나타내는 상태나 행동의 방법만이 있을 뿐임을 나타냄.

5. ONLY; NO OTHER WAY: A word indicating that no alternative exists to the state or action referred to by the preceding content.

    Jisoo had no transportation, so she had no choice but to walk to school.
  • 병원에서도 희망이 없다고 하니 종교의 힘을 믿어 볼 밖에 없다.
    The hospital says there is no hope, so we have no choice but to believe in the power of religion.
