Ending of a Word  

1. (예사 낮춤으로) 친근하게 명령함을 나타내는 종결 어미.

1. -GENA: (formal, moderately addressee-lowering) A sentence-final ending used when giving an order in a friendly manner.

🗣️ Usage Example:
  • 가방은 여기 놓고 앉게나.
    Leave your bag here and sit down.
  • 잠깐 나갔다 올 테니 먼저 식사 들게나.
    I'll be out for a while and you'll have your meal first.
  • 나는 당분간은 이 책을 볼 일이 없으니 자네가 읽게나.
    I won't be reading this book for a while, so you can read it.
  • 장인어른, 술은 어떤 걸로 드시겠습니까?
    Your father-in-law, what would you like to drink?
    맥주로 한 잔 주게나.
    Give me a beer.

📚 Annotation: 동사 또는 '-으시-' 뒤에 붙여 쓴다.
