한반도 북서부에 있는 도. 광복 이후에 북한이 신설한 것으로 두만강과 압록강을 경계로 중국과 접해 있다. 백두산이 있으며 주요 도시로는 혜산이 있다.

A province located in the northwest of the Korean Peninsula; it was established by North Korea after the independence of Korea from Japanese colonial rule, and borders with China along with the Dumangang River and the Amnokgang River; Baekdusan Mountain is located there and Hyesan is the main city of the province.
