The professor asked me if i could understand the story, but i really didn't know what he was talking about.

2. (TRATAMIENTO DE MODESTIA GENERAL) Expresión que indica el deseo de hablar indirectamente al trasmitir el contenido de una pregunta que escuchó de otra persona.
