Ending of a Word  

1. 어떤 사실을 못마땅하게 생각하며 인용하듯이 말할 때 쓰는 종결 어미.

1. -SEUPNE: A sentence-final ending used when one finds a certain fact displeasing and says something as if quoting someone.

🗣️ Usage Example:
  • Google translate 민준이는 모르는 것을 말하기 싫어서 몰라도 알았습네 하는 게 문제다.
    The problem is that min-joon doesn't want to say what he doesn't know, but he does.
  • Google translate 그 사람은 뭐든지 자기가 하겠습네 하고서 제대로 하는 건 아무것도 없다.
    He doesn't do anything right by saying he'll do anything.
  • Google translate 자기는 어릴 때부터 전 세계를 돌아다녔습네 하며 있는 척을 하는 것 좀 봐.
    Look at him pretending to be around the world since he was a kid.
  • Google translate 박 씨는 왜 주위에 친한 사람이 없어요?
    Why isn't mr. park close to anyone?
    Google translate 항상 다른 사람 앞에서 자기만 잘났습네 하고 거들먹거리거든요.
    He always brags about himself in front of other people.

📚 Annotation: ‘ㄹ’을 제외한 받침 있는 동사와 형용사 또는 ‘-었-’, ‘-겠-’ 뒤에 붙여 쓰고, 주로 '-습네 하다'로 쓴다.
