Ending of a Word

1. (두루낮춤으로) 말하는 사람이 들어서 아는 사실을 확인하여 물음을 나타내는 종결 어미.

1. -NEUNDAMYEONSEO: (informal addressee-lowering) A sentence-final ending used when the speaker confirms and asks questions about a fact that he/she heard.

🗣️ Usage Example:

너 다음 달에 결혼 날짜 잡는다면서?
I heard you're getting married next month.
이번에는 안 밀리고 월급을 꼬박꼬박 받는다면서?
I heard you won't be late this time and get paid regularly.
이제부터는 수업 시간에 졸지 않고 선생님 말씀 다 받아 적는다면서?
From now on, you won't fall asleep in class and write down everything the teacher says.
♔ 오늘까지는 이번 일을 해결할 방법을 찾는다면서?
You said you'd find a way to deal with this by today.
