Ending of a Word  

1. (두루높임으로) 말하는 사람이 이전에 직접 경험한 사실을 말함을 나타내는 종결 어미.

1. -DEYO: (informal addressee-raising) A sentence-final ending used when the speaker talks about something that he/she personally experienced.

🗣️ Usage Example:
  • Google translate 그 아이는 정말 똑똑하데요.
    She's really smart.
  • Google translate 어제 공원에 가 보니 벌써 꽃들이 다 폈데요.
    Yesterday i went to the park and found out that the flowers were already in bloom.
  • Google translate 그 사람이 익살스러운 표정을 지으니까 사람들이 다 웃데요.
    He's got a funny look on his face and everyone's laughing.
  • Google translate 민준 씨, 어제 승규 씨랑 감자탕 먹으러 갔다면서요?
    Minjun, i heard you went to eat gamjatang with seunggyu yesterday.
    Google translate 네. 회사 앞에 있는 식당에 갔는데 그곳 감자탕이 아주 맛있데요.
    Yeah. i went to the restaurant in front of the company and the gamjatang was very delicious.

-데요: -deyo,でした。かったです。ていました,,,,,Vĩ,...นะคะ,nyatanya,,(无对应词汇),

📚 Annotation: ‘이다’, 동사와 형용사 또는 ‘-으시-’, ‘-었-’, ‘-겠-’ 뒤에 붙여 쓴다.
