1. 들은 사실을 전달하거나 인용하면서 자신의 생각이나 질문을 이어 말할 때 쓰는 표현.

1. Expresión que se usa cuando el hablante hace preguntas o muestra su opinión transmitiendo o citando lo que se ha escuchado.

🗣️ Ejemplo:
  • 지수가 너를 찾는다는데 지수에게 전화해 줘.
    Jisoo wants you, so please call jisoo.
  • 네 시에 은행 문을 닫는다는데 빨리 가야겠어요.
    The bank closes at 4:00, so i better get going.
  • 결혼식에 갈 때 보통 정장을 입는다는데 청바지를 입고 가도 될까요?
    I heard you usually wear a suit when you go to a wedding, so can i wear jeans?
  • ♔ 승규가 오늘 월급을 받는다는데 한턱내라고 하자.
    Let's ask seung-gyu to treat his salary today.
    ♕ 그래. 나도 승규를 못 본 지가 꽤 되었는데 이참에 보면 좋겠다.
    Yeah. it's been a while since i've seen seung-gyu, but i hope i can see him at this time.

2. (두루낮춤으로) 들은 사실을 전달함으로써 간접적으로 나타내고자 하는 바를 말할 때 쓰는 표현.

2. (TRATAMIENTO DE MODESTIA GENERAL) Expresión que se usa para mostrar algo que se ha escuchado con intención de transmitirlo indirectamente.

  • 그 책은 승규가 읽는다는데.
    That book is read by seung-gyu.
  • 한국에서는 실내에서 모자를 벗는다는데.
    In korea, people take off their hats indoors.
  • 자기 전에 물을 많이 마시면 얼굴이 붓는다는데.
    They say drinking a lot of water before bed makes your face swollen.
  • ♔ 남은 음식은 포장해 달라고 할까?
    Shall i ask you to wrap up the leftovers?

📚 Annotation: ‘ㄹ’을 제외한 받침 있는 동사 뒤에 붙여 쓴다. ‘-는다고 하는데’가 줄어든 말이다.
