1. 앞에 오는 말이 나타내는 부정적인 사실을 인정하면서 그와 반대되는 다른 사실을 이어 말할 때 쓰는 연결 어미.

1. -EULMANGJEONG: A connective ending used when recognizing the truth of the preceding negative fact, and adding another fact that is the opposite of it.

승규는 비록 키는 작을망정 생각은 누구보다 큰 사람이다.
Although seung-gyu is short, he is a person who thinks bigger than anyone else.

2. 어떤 부정적인 상황을 가정하여 나타내면서 그와 반대되는 뒤의 말을 강조할 때 쓰는 연결 어미.

2. -EULMANGJEONG: A connective ending used to express the assumption that a certain negative situation will occur, and emphasize the following statement that is the opposite of it.

차라리 굶어 죽을망정 너에게 도움을 청하는 일은 없을 거야!
I'd rather starve myself to death than ask you for help!
나는 사람들에게 비난을 받을망정 내가 옳다고 생각하는 일을 꿋꿋이 해 나갈 것이다.
