1. 다른 사람으로부터 받은 권유나 제안의 내용을 언급하면서 뒤의 내용을 관계 지어 말함을 나타내는 표현.

1. -JADEONDE: An expression used to mention someone's recommendation or suggestion and relate it to the following content.

  • 승규가 내일 영화 보러 가자던데 너도 갈래?
    Seung-gyu said he's going to the movies tomorrow. do you want to come?
  • 이번 주말에 민준이가 보자던데 너는 시간이 되니?
    Minjun said to see you this weekend. do you have time?
  • 내일부터 유민이가 같이 공부하자던데 나는 유민이랑 도서관 가기가 싫다.
    Yoomin wants to study together from tomorrow, but i don't want to go to the library with yoomin.
  • 너 아직도 지수랑 화해 안 했니?
    You still haven't made up with jisoo?
    응. 며칠 전에 나에게 이야기 좀 하자던데 나는 걔랑 할 말이 없어.
    Yeah. he wanted to talk to me a few days ago, but i have nothing to say to him.

2. (두루낮춤으로) 다른 사람으로부터 받은 권유나 제안의 내용을 전달하여 간접적으로 말하고자 하는 바를 나타내는 표현.

2. -JADEONDE: (informal addressee-lowering) An expression used to indirectly express what the speaker wants to say, by conveying someone's recommendation or suggestion.

    Seunggyu said we should play basketball together tomorrow.
  • 여름휴가 때는 남편이 동해에 가자던데.
    Summer vacation. Gaza to the husband donghae
  • 내일은 엄마가 식구들이랑 식사라도 하자던데.
    My mom wants to have dinner with my family tomorrow.
  • 유민이가 너 유학 가기 전에 한번 보자던데.
    Yoomin said let's see each other before you study abroad.
    응, 그래. 한번 봐야지. 내가 전화해 볼게.
    Yeah, yeah. let's take a look. i'll try calling.

📚 Annotation: 동사 뒤에 붙여 쓴다. ‘-자고 하던데’가 줄어든 말이다.
